Your Guide to: Spring Racing 🌻

The Spring Races Edit

Your guide to everything fashion this racing season.

From the Melbourne Cup to Ladies Day to smaller local races, the Spring Racing season is a highlight of every fashion lovers social calendar. First timers and experienced race-goers alike, keeping up with the latest trends and following the unspoken race attire rules can be tricky. Luckily for you - we're here to help!

 Step 1: The Dress
Once you've got your entry sorted, finding the right dress can feel like a very difficult task. We're happy to say we've designed a few of our R18 Leisure Island pieces with the Spring Racing Carnival in mind…

The Riviera Maxi is our top pick this racing season. Frill details and gorgeous side splits are sure to have heads turning! Our other favourites: the Village Dress , the Tash Dress and the Riviera Mini.

Step 2: Accessories
Arguably just as important as your chosen dress, accessories can make or break an outfit on Race Day. Obviously, fascinators and head wear are an essential - our fave brands: Max Alexander, Olga Berg and Morgan & Taylor.

Other accessories are easy to forget but just as important - statement sunnies and the right jewelry are an important way to finish off your Race Day look (Check out our blog post here for the best accessories to complement your SJK outfit!)

Step 3: Shoes
Shoes, shoes, shoes. Stilettos are a nightmare on Race day - trust us! Instead opt for some sturdy heels - our Maree Midi Heels or Elley Tie Up Heels are a dream for dealing with any tough terrain…

So, whether you're entering Fashion on the Fields or just looking for a fun day with friends, keep these tips in mind to ensure Spring Racing Fashion success!
